We will get there though because from the very start, beginning with the idea of [B]SKI'S, franchising has been at the forefront of our thoughts. . [B]SKI'S will always [B] a franchising company and we will rely heavily on our franchisees and owner/operators to make the system a success. [B]SKI'S is commited to franchising as a predominant way of doing business.
We are currently working on our franchise package and our goal is to roll out our first couple of deals in 2010. We are willing to look into licensing agreements for our name and concept but these will be unique opportunities and circumstances to operate in non-traditional venues, and we will have to consider those on an individual basis (if you feel you have a unique opportunity i.e. airport, stadium, university food court, etc. please include it in the comment section).

In May of 2006 in Chapel Hill, NC. a couple of young entrepreneurs created [B]SKI'S-The Tortilla Wrap Grill in the spirit of making a home away from home on a college campus with a not-taking-yourself-too-seriously menu with the main offering being named a SKI.
Maybe it's the personal experience that keeps people coming back for more. Or maybe it's the laid back, friendly vibe and the one of a kind SKI'S the customers have come to love each time they walk through the door. Regardless of the reason behind the popularity of the brand, it works.

Bradley J. Smith, oldest of two children, was born with a curiosity of how things work. Even at an early age his parents noticed his love for putting things together and taking them apart.
From as far back as Bradley can remember, he has always been working. He grew up working for his father in the hospitality business. He started at the bottom washing pots and pans in the kitchen and quickly moved up to bussing and waiting tables by the age of fourteen. Eventually, with the help of his younger brother, he had the opportunity to manage some events at the conference center, they were fifteen and thirteen years old respectively.
By the time he had graduated high school he told his father he would never work in the restaurant industry again. That summer he picked up a job waiting tables.

REQUIREMENTS of a [B]SKI'S OWNER:
<+> Restaurant management experience as an owner and/or operator
<+> Minimum financial net worth of $1 million and liquidity of $300,000

PROCESS:
Step 1: Request For Consideration (RFC)
The first step to owning your own [B]Ski's franchise is to complete [B]Ski's Request for Consideration Form with as much detail as possible (if you have not already done so). This will give us the necessary information to help us better understand your background and your plans for owning a [B]Ski's.
Step 2: Franchise Sales Director Meeting
After completing the RFC and submitting it to us, the next step is to discuss your plans and the information from your completed RFC with one of our Franchise Sales Directors. They will contact you shortly after receiving and reviewing your RFC.
Step 3: Franchise Disclosure and Due Diligence
If, during the first face-to-face meeting with one of our Franchise Sales Directors you are interested in continuing the process towards owning a [B]Ski's, he or she will provide you with our disclosure document, commonly referred to as the UFOC. This document is required by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and certain state laws and explains in detail a [B]Ski's franchise. The franchise agreement that you would sign is included in the UFOC for you to start reviewing. We will need the signature receipt page at the back of the UFOC as a record that we properly gave you this document. The FTC requires that you not sign a franchise agreement or pay the franchise fee if you have not first been given the UFOC to review for 10 business days. This is the time you should be conducting your due diligence on the [B]Ski's concept.
Step 4: Franchise Application
After you have addressed all of the pre-ownership issues listed above and you are ready and committed to owning your own [B]Ski's - The Tortilla Wrap Grill, the next step is to complete the franchise application. The Franchise Sales Director for your area will collect your application and put together the complete review package for [B]Ski's franchise review committee.
Step 5: Signing the Franchise Agreement & Paying the Franchise Fee
If [B]Ski's franchise review committee approves your application, you will be sent the franchise agreements that you will be required to sign. Again, an exact copy of these agreements are incorporated in the UFOC. The FTC and certain state laws also require that you hold these agreements for 5 business days before you can sign them and pay the franchise fee. Once the holding period of 5 business days has passed, you are now ready to sign the agreements and return them to us, along with the franchise fee. Once we receive the signed agreements into our Atlanta office with the franchise fee and all necessary documentation, we will countersign your agreements and send you back a copy.
Step 6: The Fun [B]egins!
Once we have countersigned your agreement, you are now officially a [B]Ski's franchisee and our franchise support team will begin working directly with you to open your store as quickly and efficiently as possible.

TRAINING
<+> We will provide you with 2-3 weeks of full training at our flagship store in Chapel Hill, NC. Training will include everything you need to know to operate your restaurant successfully. Items include how to operate each work station (cash register, cook, expo, [deliver]ski), to managing your restaurant, to hiring, to finacial management.
The first 10 [B]Ski's restaurants will be located in major college towns within about 6 hours of the Chapel Hill flagship store. We feel that inorder to [B] the most successful we can [B] we should stick with a plan that we know is proven to [B] great.
